Now donor not responding to medsApril 25 2012 at 4:53 PM

She had an AFC of 22 at her screening. She's been on meds for 4 days and had E2 of 50.
She is a proven donor.
Any words of hope?
What a day!

if the doctor has made sure she is injecting herself correctly? Even when proven sometimes simple things get screwed up. I have heard of donors forgetting things like one of two injections or forgetting to stop BCPs or they gave themselves too much lupron... With an AFC of 22 she should be able to look at a bottle of FSH and start making follicles. Does the clinic have any thoughts?
Hang tough. Maybe something will happen soon.
my friend had similar thing happen (preg/success mentioned)

What was supposed to take about a week or so turned into about 2 weeks to get her to stim. They ended up with a decent number of eggs retrieved, a good number fertilized, a few made it to something good enough to transfer, no frozens. She transferred two and it worked (singleton baby.)
This was also a proven donor (2 times prior). They couldn't explain why she stimmed differently. I think the RE wanted to do a low dose on her because he was worried about her overstimming.
Anyway... just posting to say it can turn out okay, don't lose hope yet!
is she using any lupron?

I normally post on the high FSH boards but I could not stim AT ALL when any Lupron was involved; however, I've had no problem stimming using an antagonist protocol. I'd take her off the Lupron, just have her do stims, and see what happens.
Thanks for your help.

We will hear tomorrow but my RE says it is not looking good.
I am sad.
