I already posted on the pink board but thought of something else. When I was 40 and thought I was too old to have another baby I thought about my great-grandmothers. I pulled out my geneology records and realized two of my great grandmothers had their last children when they were 47 years old! They had ten and eleven children. One did not even have running water in her house! They both had home births for all of their children.
I thought if they could do it certainly I could do it at only 40 with a nice hospital and running water at home
My parents have always spoken very highly of their grandmothers. Well it took a few more years until I was 43 to move to donor eggs. But I feel inspired to think of them and what they went through to have all of their babies.
