Had hysteroscopy yesterday. Good blood flow and nothing found to prevent me from doing donor cycle if we can get lining to respond. Obviously, mock cycle did not work as lining never changed from baseline of 5. Although, E2 level was 1600 and my washed out ovary responded by making a huge cyst:) I guess at least it makes something! Anyway, just looking for suggestions I guess before doing another mock cycle. I have stuff for castor oil packs, but wondering how often you have to do that. I can do acupuncture, but the drive is too far to do 3 days per week like the practitioner suggested. Just wanting to try everything possible because no sense in paying for donor cycle if can't get lining to respond.

There are a few of us that had lining issues and went on to have success with 7 or less. Shady Grove did a retrospective study that success is very good with lining less than 8. Funny about acupuncture, I did acupunctute for my unsuccessful cycle and none for my successful cycle. I think that doing acupuncture right b/f and right after transfer could be just as good. The only thing that really helped me is taking the max amount of estrogen vaginally and orally. Good luck.

There was another study done in 2011 on two groups of women underoging DE cycles, one group had thick linings over 8, the other group had linings between 5.9 and 7.9. The pregnancy rate for the group with thinner linings was slightly higher.

I was also very lining challenged. AUdrey and I did basically the same protocol and tried all of the same stuff, for the most part. So instead of re-hashing it, just go to Audrey's link. I had a lining that barely got to 7 and I got pg that cycle. Contrary to popular belief, you CAN get pg with a lining less than 8.
