Hatsans are a Plentiful Make in New Zealand and like most Makes they have their Fans and their Critics. I have 2 Hatsan Models, a Hatsan Model 35 CR (Chromed) and a Model 20 Magic Wood Pistol as well as the 2 Winchester Branded Hatsans, Models 600X and 1000X Pictured. Im Not Familiar with the Model Your thinking of Buying, so its not really Fair to Comment. The Main Complaint Ive heard of with Hatsans seems to be the Trigger. All of Mine are real Basic in Comparison to Some of the Other Makes I have. I went to the Pyramid Site for a Look at the One Your Looking at, and I reckon they are getting More Refined looking with Every New Model that Comes Out. I can only Recommend that You Buy One and Form Your Own Opinion, rather than Listen to the Fors and Againsts.
These 2 Winchester Branded Models seem to be a Bit Better Finished All Over than a Standard Hatsan of the Same Time Frame. The Wood on these is a Type of Turkish Walnut and is Finished to a Pretty Good Standard, IMO.
