Hi Grant, Having studied a clip while apart I noticed a feature not apparent at first, Turn your clip over to the back side, you will see three small holes. Held in the load position the springs "leg" is inserted in the three o'clock position. Don't suppose the other two are for tensioning for a heavier pellet weight do you? Regards,
And I would say that You are Onto it. Seems like the most likely reason for the 3 holes. They are probably either for more Spring Preload to move heavier pellets easier or to re-tension the spring if it gets a bit Tired. Its certainly a good idea anyhow as I see it.
