So what is everyone doing this weekend? Anyone doing anything major to their cars?
I have quite a busy weekend planned really, Am going back down home on friday night so i can take my driver seat out and give it to Billy across the road from me on saturday morning. He's going to re-bolster it for me as it feels like my arse is touching the tarmac everytime i drive it! Then Saturday afternoon am heading back upto Edinburgh with the folks to have a look at a flat for me for next year. It's got underground parking so the capri will be safe yipeeeeeeeeee
Then on sunday i will be putting the 260 mm brakes on the front of my car! Andy if your reading il let you know how those brackets fit, i think ive already "missplaced" the washers but il be able to get some from my dads work. One thing i have noticed is the threads on the bracket is different to the thread on the calliper carrier but that should be easy to solve. Oh and the company i god the brakes from gave me 2 right hand side callipers the fools lol but there going to replace that for me no problem so am a happpy chappy
Then on Monday (yippeeeeee Monday and Tuesday off Uni) Am doing yet more brakes, this time i am replacing the rear pads and discs of my big sisters Honda Accord. Hopefully everything should be alright doing that job.....lots of WD40 and a big hammer!
Tuesday i aint decided yet, i might repaint the spare engine block and measure the pistons so i can get some rings for it. The engine in the car is eating oil as fast as petrol atm and the valve guide seals are brand new.
By the way i dont suppose anyone has some good single leaf springs they would be willing to part with?

....welding my 2.8 and change gearbox and clutch on my laser if I can find someone to help me. I'm also going to inspect the steering rack and joint on the column as there is some play somewhere.
Did teatime until thursday brekky swingtipping for tench & bream. Three bream, two tench then a hard fighting tench that looked like a bream in the thick fog till I got it closer:
12lb and a bit & first common ever from the farm pond. I had one on once but lost it on light swingtip tackle, that was on the night that Elvis died.

I've had to endure loads with the kids, hate the places mate, allways smell of poo and wee, and the monkeys pulled out my washer jets last time i drove throught the drive in trail bit, i had a monkey sat on the screen so i squirted him with the washer jet, so he pulled the jet out and ate it!

my brother has been to Johnna/invalid boy's house to pick up a fuel pump for me. Off with my girlfriend to York. My parents and brother are coming down for the day, aint seen them in ages(and get fuel pump off my bro). Possibly get the fuel pump fitted. Then possibly again, get to the scotch corner meet on Sunday. Or if I dont get the car sorted, we'll take the bikes out for a spin. Plus my usual bottle of bourbon and some well earned lie ins.
