Intersting story about Manson as a yougn child. I read somewhere (I think it is a story that Manson would tell people) that Charlie's mom sold him for a pitcher of beer to a waitress at a bar. Something along the lines of the waitress saying jokingly "I'll buy him from you." Charlie's mom said "a pitcher of beer and he's yours." Not only did his mom follow through with it, she waited around long enough to finish the pitcher before leaving.
