1/48 Airfix kit wit the following changes:
Neomega cockpit kit
CMK undercarriage kit
MAV Decal set (Thanks Zane for the one of numbers for this particular aircraft)
Dropped flaps
Scratchbuilt airbrake
Modded jet pipe
Aircraft rescribed & riveted/screwheads where necessary
Scratchbuilt in-flight refuelling probe
All vents opened
My first go at making my own master/mould/resin .... The bomb carrier & practice bombs
Extra fences on the wings
Absolute pressure/AoC probes
Brake/maxerette lines on undercarriage
Needle for pitot head
Raised panels beneath the slime lights
Rear-view mirrors/latch handle for canopy
Kit was typical Aifix, pleasant to put together, fun to add to & the need of plenty of filler (How did they get the wingtips soooo wrong?). I did the paint three times, firstly wasnt happy with the colour callout. Then once that was done & looking at reference pics saw that Airfix had got the paint demarcations very wrong. Neomega cockpit a drop-in joy & lots of thinning to the kit & resin on the CMK undercarriage, but what a change!

HyperScale's Group Build Guidelines

The objective of this Group Build is to encourage as many modellers as possible to build their kits and share their progress via words and photos on this Forum.

You are welcome to post general construction tips or relevant reference information and photos to this Forum too.

This Group Build will feature Airfix kits.

  1. Build as many kits as you like

  2. Conversions, aftermarket and scratchbuilding are all permitted.

  3. Any markings are acceptable.

  4. Document your progress and do a write-up on your build - where did you have trouble, what improvements did you make, what markings did you choose and why? It would be GREAT if everyone would do a writeup and submit it to HyperScale as a Feature Article.
