Response to ...CLEAR PROP!!!!!.....

Yeah, I checked out your Hurricane as I went along with this Spitfire. You did a much better job with those Waldron instruments than I did. I'm not sure exactly how Airfix intended the motor and stand to be wired up (See Part One of this build in the link below). Sounds like you did pretty much the same thing I did - and what probably everyone has done who has motorized one of these big kits. The Airfix stand looks like it was designed to take two Double A batteries, which is what I went with. But man, that prop really moves! I think a person could get away with using just one Double A. Better yet, I'd use two smaller Triple A batteries next time because they're smaller and probably easier to install. Many thanks, Jarrod!

HyperScale's Group Build Guidelines

The objective of this Group Build is to encourage as many modellers as possible to build their kits and share their progress via words and photos on this Forum.

You are welcome to post general construction tips or relevant reference information and photos to this Forum too.

This Group Build will feature Airfix, Frog and Matchbox kits.

  1. Build as many kits as you like

  2. Conversions, aftermarket and scratchbuilding are all permitted.

  3. Any markings are acceptable.

  4. Document your progress and do a write-up on your build - where did you have trouble, what improvements did you make, what markings did you choose and why? It would be GREAT if everyone would do a writeup and submit it to HyperScale as a Feature Article.
