Response to APTGB - M4A4 Sherman

That is a heck of a hacking job to do - but I appreciate some good old school modelling

Just out of curiosity I included a picture of my 1980s build Matchbox (reissued by Revell) Firefly next to dads 1960s build / 1980s repainted Airfix Sherman

Then there is still a Buffalo that can be done (dads 1970s build)

Or the famous DUKW (my 1980s build)

And even the Quad wandered around in Burma (dads 1960s build / 1980s repainted)

I forgot the Bren Gun carrier... and in the final Pacific war days the Soviet Union joined in with the T-34/85 and according rhumours even the mighty JS-3 (just rereleased by Airfix!)

Still some work to do happy.gif

Just like the perfect woman doesn't exist, I will never build a perfect model.
Puts me on a par with God

HyperScale's Group Build Guidelines

The objective of this Group Build is to encourage as many modellers as possible to build their kits and share their progress via words and photos on this Forum.

You are welcome to post general construction tips or relevant reference information and photos to this Forum too.

This Group Build will feature Airfix, Frog and Matchbox kits.

  1. Build as many kits as you like

  2. Conversions, aftermarket and scratchbuilding are all permitted.

  3. Any markings are acceptable.

  4. Document your progress and do a write-up on your build - where did you have trouble, what improvements did you make, what markings did you choose and why? It would be GREAT if everyone would do a writeup and submit it to HyperScale as a Feature Article.
