Hi all

I just start building this little model and I'd like to share with you the progress!
For start this is the version I'll try to finish:

I also decided to use a resin bang seat, I really don't know who made these seats since when I bought this kit on ebay it came with them!

This was the only change I did for the cockpit, and I just painted the rest of the parts accordingly.

I also did a little bit of detailing on the fuselage, but I did it just for one side, since on the other side this screen is divided in two what made me scare of trying it.

A lot of lead shot pellets to prevent a tail sitter!

Here is my technique to simulate the ejection handles painted in yellow-black:

What I do is to take two fine sewing threads one yellow and one black, apply some white glue (Elmers glue) with my fingers on them and set to dry for about 5-7 min. Then join the ends and firmly secure it with a clamp and twist it and put another clamp to keep it twisted and straight, apply more white glue with my fingers and set to dry throughout. After dry use a bush handle to form the desire loop or format and twist the ends securely and apply glue to keep in place, after dry just cut and apply to the seats.

Fuselage closed and set to dry, next step putty and sanding!

Cheers!

HyperScale's Group Build Guidelines

The objective of this Group Build is to encourage as many modellers as possible to build their kits and share their progress via words and photos on this Forum.

You are welcome to post general construction tips or relevant reference information and photos to this Forum too.

This Group Build will feature Airfix, Frog and Matchbox kits.

  1. Build as many kits as you like

  2. Conversions, aftermarket and scratchbuilding are all permitted.

  3. Any markings are acceptable.

  4. Document your progress and do a write-up on your build - where did you have trouble, what improvements did you make, what markings did you choose and why? It would be GREAT if everyone would do a writeup and submit it to HyperScale as a Feature Article.
