Well, the CAC Boomerang is now being retired from the GB, gentlemen. I was affixing the rear windows this morning, which on the port side required generous amounts of sanding down, CA, sand down, CA etc ad nauseum, and had the starboard window just tacked in place with a drop or two of CA..... While blowing some dust out from underneath the port side after finishing up polishing it out, I noticed the starb'd had decided to make a run for the border. Scoured the *entire room*, to include dumping out the trash bin next to the work bench (old empty tins of kitty food....ick), to no avail. So it's an email off to Airfix in hopes of a replacement clear sprue but I'm not holding my breath as this kit is currently OOP.

I'm going to go have some coffee with a little 'extra' something in it now sad.gif

DISREGARD: can't let a little thing like a WINDOW hold us up now, can we? Right after I posted the above, I glanced over and what did I see? The massive stack of CD's I've acquired over the years. Empty jewel case = new side window. Boomerang lives!

HyperScale's Group Build Guidelines

The objective of this Group Build is to encourage as many modellers as possible to build their kits and share their progress via words and photos on this Forum.

You are welcome to post general construction tips or relevant reference information and photos to this Forum too.

This Group Build will feature Airfix, Frog and Matchbox kits.

  1. Build as many kits as you like

  2. Conversions, aftermarket and scratchbuilding are all permitted.

  3. Any markings are acceptable.

  4. Document your progress and do a write-up on your build - where did you have trouble, what improvements did you make, what markings did you choose and why? It would be GREAT if everyone would do a writeup and submit it to HyperScale as a Feature Article.
