Sorry, pictures as soon as possible.

Last week I packed up minimal tools and paints, and some kits (DH Hornet, Fairey Firefly and HPM Mirage IIIO) and drove 1,000 km to look after my brother's house & dog while he took the twin sons to 'Ninga Summer School' in Japan. My Dad snaffled my painting skills to paint doors in the holiday house so Thursday and Friday went to custard.

I used the new vernier calipers to measure and cut brass undercarriage components for the next Firefly kit. And I couldn't find the HALO decals, just the scans of the decal sheet and instructions.

Now, after two days of modelling on the first of the Airfix Fireflies - one of the 1990's issued kit ...with all the wing misalignment issues that brings and we are ready to crank up the compressor and spray paint.

HyperScale's Group Build Guidelines

The objective of this Group Build is to encourage as many modellers as possible to build their kits and share their progress via words and photos on this Forum.

You are welcome to post general construction tips or relevant reference information and photos to this Forum too.

This Group Build will feature Airfix, Frog and Matchbox kits.

  1. Build as many kits as you like

  2. Conversions, aftermarket and scratchbuilding are all permitted.

  3. Any markings are acceptable.

  4. Document your progress and do a write-up on your build - where did you have trouble, what improvements did you make, what markings did you choose and why? It would be GREAT if everyone would do a writeup and submit it to HyperScale as a Feature Article.
