I came across it in a magazine ad... you get their Dam Buster Lanc skimming over the dam with the bomb skipping along the water. It looks fairly large and complex. The water and dam are vac.

Looks like an awesome idea and I want one!

But apparently the wrong fuselage slipped inside the box.

See here:

As somebody mentions in the thread, this could become a collector's item, but if I get one I want the one with the right parts inside.

Can't wait to see one built!

Jorge.

I've got one

November 5 2009, 6:05 PM

and I had to get it.

A nice marketing foil to counter Revell's lovely, state of the art, Dambuster boxing of their new Lanc tool.

As I have two Airfix Dambuster Lancs I'll be doing mine with one flying over the dam with Gibson circling to draw fire from the flak towers.

The kit containes one Lanc kit, one old Dogfight Double stand and a grey vacform Moehne Dam with water effect base.

It gives plenty of scope for imagination, and creative show diorama creators will love it.

I've already got a mate of mine to supply two clear resin stands for the aircraft and diecut spinning propellers.

For accuracy I recommend you invest in Aeroclub's Lanc nose blister and check out SAM's anniversary issue of Operation Chastise by Paul Lucas in May 2003.

HyperScale's Group Build Guidelines

The objective of this Group Build is to encourage as many modellers as possible to build their kits and share their progress via words and photos on this Forum.

You are welcome to post general construction tips or relevant reference information and photos to this Forum too.

This Group Build will feature Airfix kits.

  1. Build as many kits as you like

  2. Conversions, aftermarket and scratchbuilding are all permitted.

  3. Any markings are acceptable.

  4. Document your progress and do a write-up on your build - where did you have trouble, what improvements did you make, what markings did you choose and why? It would be GREAT if everyone would do a writeup and submit it to HyperScale as a Feature Article.
