Here I am missing so much without a Playstation... Grumble It's bloody annoying, because it's impossible to find a Playstation 2 (not like I'd want one for any of its own games, mind you), and if I were to buy a normal Playstation, it would be for all of two games! ARGH!
I assume, by virtue of you being here, you like RPGs…
Final Fantasy VII, VIII (ok, you might not want that one…), and IX, as well as Anthology (remake of 5 and 6. If you don't know Japanese, having an English version of 5 is nice), and Tactics.
Saga Frontier and Saga Frontier 2. Legend of Mana. Vagrant Story. Threads of Fate. Brave Fencer Musashi. Xenogears. And those are just some of the better RPGs from Squaresoft. Still a bunch from other companies as well.
He has already played those or at least all of them he wishes to. What I am guessing is that he currently doesn't have a PS or access to one, and if he purchased one the only games he would end up using it for are FFIX, and Chrono Cross(?).
And Palin, I kind of know the feeling. Everyone is playing FFIX or CC, and I haven't had a place to hook up my playstation for the last couple of months, much less time to play it.
And actually, I haven't played most of 'em... FF9 and CC are about the only ones that truly interest me. I've played 7 on my computer, I played a demo of 8 (which was more than enough for me) and although some of the other ones might be fun, they wouldn't have been enough to get me to buy a Playstation. In fact, Chrono Cross is about the only title that makes me wish I had one... And I must say, it's pretty difficult to avoid spoilers. v_v
What about Legend of Dragoon? or Vandal Hearts? Possibly Vandal Hearts 2?.....damn RPGamers down right now. i need to extract more game names from there >:P
cackle Excellent, EXCELLENT. I shall be getting a delightfully EARLY Christmas present of a Playstation. Which means I can get all dat other Playstation stuff for Christmas as well! So far, I have un memory card, Chrono Cross, FF9, Legend o' Mana... any other suggestions? (note: stuff shouldst probably be fairly cheap...) Blargh.
Good RPGs are… everything by Square (except FFVIII and I personally didn't care for Parasite Eve). Lunar Eternal Blue and Lunar Silver Star Story (if they're still making it) are both good, but both expensive.
