Let's get this straight right now: Diablo 2 act 5 + assassin + me= >:-)
Seeing as how this thing won't let me upload pics for some reason (grrrr)I'll just describe the things I've seen and done the past 2 weeks.
First, I have an assassin (beta realm), level 37, quite the magic killer (as they were made to be) uses 2 scissors katars, one rare AND gemmed (perk of act 5)that I traded for and the other a decent magical one. She has a rare gemmed bone helm which I first gambled for then socketed in the quest that lets me, as well as personalized armor (has her name on it) which has hella high defense. Decent life leech ring and mana ring, along with unique gloves that rule and some demonhide boots. She's quite fast even with all that armor on.
Mine assassin is in nightmare and has beaten Baal (with the help of a necromancer and a fellow assassin)
Heh the first time I fought him, I walked right up to him and smacked him, it went downhill from there on for me...
Baal... is a prick. A cheap @$$ prick. He has the assassin's ability of shadow cloning himself (which means he can duplicate himself) with the same complete powers he has. He also has what I call the "hentai tentacle attack" which means that one second the screen is clear then all of a sudden...
9 freaking sets of tentacles are swiping you!!!
He also has a wierd Iron Maiden spell that only affects magic users (I.E. it returns magic damage but not physical to the caster) but I didn't notice it.
His spells are nasty in the form of just magic, since I don't think he's elemental, other than that multishot fireball. He's not as aggressive as Diablo was but he's way cheaper.
The quests in act 5 range from: God damn I have to SAVE barbarians to Wow, I get to snap that NPC (who pissed off my assassin) like a twig.
The new items are also sweet. Ranging from self-repairing and class specific with skill bonuses.
Ethereal suck, plain and simple due to the inability to repair them (unless you're lucky enough to get a self-repairing one).
Not to forget the charged items that have sorceress spells in them that any class can use.
Speaking of which, they screwed the sorceress so bad it's not even funny...
That's pretty much my blah and blah for now, but I'll go ahead and entertain questions about the beta so far.
