I can see how this'll go. They'll fight, and eventually Karn (or maybe Ardam) will say something like:

"Hey, why not join us and help stop Khrima who is exploiting all the DMONPIGs all around the world!"

"Ok!"

Prolly won't go just like that, but I can see it happening.

And of course, since they're about to fight him, they get to make all the obligatory jokes about how he has less HP and fewer abilities while on the team.

Well, looks more like a new enemy. Maybe he'll be one of those that shows up a few times as an enemy then joins the party. Though personally I still half expect Khrima to fill in for that particular role.

How about Eternion has his power stripped from him for improper use and is sent to Earth to work off his crimes. He then teams up with the Adventurers in order to get back at Khrima. It could work.

Khirma has to join the party because his "empire" is totally and utterly completly destroyed by Eternion.

Thus leaving Khirma the only logical choice to get back at Eternion by joining the party,to discover a way to permanently take out the big Void-freak.

And if the party doesn't have a space to add a new member then Chookie bites it.
