Hi all, I don't collect football cards, and really don't know much about football history before the 80s. But this forum has gotten me interested, so i just started looking a different sets online and thought this (link below) was a neat site that shows pictures from many postwar sets:

1962 post cereal looks pretty neat!

Rob

p.s. sorry if everyone knows about that site already.

edited to correct my name ... can't spell!

That's NearMint's site (Mike Thomas). Great Guy!

He also organized the famous "Football Card Olympics" over on the CU message boards. Basically, it's an Olympics style medal count for the top 3 sets (on the PSA set registry) in every football card issue that PSA has on their registry. He's broken up the medal count by decade's and the football collectors have a great time razzing each other about overtaking one of the top three spots, or winning a medal in a new catagory. It's brought out a lot of friendly (and spirited) competition for some of the lesser known football sets, and has provided an entertaining outlet for the guys trying to build high grade sets.

He also glady excepts the F.P.F.C.C.A. card for any purchases made on his website .... which is a true asset to the football card hobby!

Mike

Rob,

You are an football card collector and you don't know of the football card olympics???

I thought that all collectors knew of MOSH and Jeremy's schemes to keep him at the top of the Olympics medal count despite the efforts of determined collectors like Couldabeena, Fuzz and myself?

Mike Thomas is a good guy and also has some great sets but I cannot understannd why he will not sell me a certain low pop 1960 Fleer card I need that he has??????
