N184 Kimball's

So someone mentioned they enjoyed collecting N184 Kimball's...

Brief history of the boxers in the issue:

5 Boxers
1 Woman Boxer
1 Kid Boxer

All can be found with and with out the advertisement on front.

So let's see some nice examples posted.

I know where probably the nicest condition Sullivan and Dempsey are and hopefully the owners will post scans!

Not the nicest examples, but I'd thought I post a couple I have anyway.

I know Seconds Out only lists some of the boxers in both types and I can't say I have kept track of if every boxer comes in both types. Have you seen all 14 cards Brent ?

I consider William Muldoon an honorary boxer. He wss John L.'s trainer and was inducted into the boxing hall of fame.

I need to check my cards David. I'm pretty sure the 5 boxers come with and w/o the advertisement but not sure about the woman or the boy since I never really collected them. Maybe we can try to fill out the master set in this post...

Here's 4 more to add to to our master set...

So now we are 7 of 14.

Muldoon was a trainer Mark! A very good one though... Of course, I guess if we count the boy and the woman we should count a HOF trainer.

So we up the master set to 16 and we are currently at 9 of 16.

Very nice Sullivan btw Mark!!!!

da boy boxah.....

December 1 2007, 9:46 PM

just found this site and so I was reading the posts from the begining. Though I'd add one of the missing types? N184 is a favorite set of mine as I collect the 19th century champion issues and albums/banners/"stuff". I look forward to sharing some excitement and learning from youse all.....

(edited to fix title)
