Need help with T220 Silver Borders for book/web site

I am trying to confirm the existence of the silver border Jack Goodman. If I cannot definitively checklist the card I will drip it from the book and make it a footnote. Anecdotes, pops, etc., are not what I need; I need to see the card. Does anyone have the card or even have the image of the card? If so, please contact me.

Regards,

Adam

Can't confirm the silver border, because I'd like to think of myself as golden. Sorry Adam, couldn't resist.

Can't add knowledge to the existence of a silver goodman

August 29 2007, 10:59 PM

But was hoping just to get your opinion Adam on the relative ratio of silver borders to regular borders? I'm wondering because I picked up the Peter Jackson tonight on ebay, having seen another silver bordered Jackson up for auction just a week or so ago - and vaguely remember yet another example perhaps 3 or 4 months ago...... Do silver borders usually run 1 in 10, 1 in 5, or other in your estimation?

Thanks for the help.

Daniel

They are a lot rougher to find

I could finish a white set any week if I didn't care about condition. A silver bordered set is very, very tough even excluding the Donovan. I know a couple of collectors who have everyone but Donovan (and Goodman, if it exists). I am rethinking my rarity analysis of both the Tolstois and the silvers. I'd estimated around 10%; I'm thinking more like 5%.

I bought the first Jackson. I hadn't seen one in quite some time. I suspect that the sale of the first drew out the second.

I'm getting perilously close to finalizing the T220 listings in the book and the silver bordered Goodman ain't gonna be there unless someone can produce one pronto. Anyone? Bueller?

T220 silver border cards

I have 23 of the T220 silver border cards. I'm missing Charlie Goldman, Mike Donovan of Today (I've never seen one), and Jack Goodman (I've never seen one). I presume that the Goodman card does not exist? I assume that it's not in the Burdick collection either? I would also check with cwick74... I believe he has a T220 silver border set as well. Below are pictures of my set. Not an easy set to put together.

I have seen Cwik's collection; no Goodman. No Donovan either. If you need a Goldman please check my web site as I will be offering one shortly. Here is the Donovan:
