What is this ca. 1860's boxing item?

I'm a longtime vintage baseball collector who acquired the stereoview-like boxing item below years ago. I have no idea what it is. The image is on what seems like a tissue type paper and is colored such that you can vividly see the colors when it is held to the light. (Sorry for the vertical scan; I forgot to press "horizontal" on my scanner). What is it? And what's it worth? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Brian.

I think it is a forerunner of a slide
