Hi,

Starting November 26th and ending December 12th, Mastronet will be auctioning a New discovery of George Mikan, its a 1950 Menko, lot #555.

This is the ultimate card to add to your collection if you are a Vintage Basketball card collector, or George Mikan, or and vintage collection.

This card is on the top with some of Mikan's rarest cards, and belived to be even rarer than all of them! The Scott's Potato Chips, Bread for Energy, Bread for Health and Royal Pudding Desserts.

If you or somebody you know collect vintage than please check out lot #555 or tell a friend about it. Hope the person who really needs this card gets it!

Thanks,

Giovanni Azzarelli

Giovanni,

Is this a card you own?

Mikan Menko Discs

February 22 2008, 6:37 PM

Hey Giovanni...

I don't know if I'd classify this item as being as rare as the Scott's Mikan...but it is definitely very rare.

Jeff Mullen wrote an article on these, but as in the case of many of his articles, some of his information is inaccurate.

If memory serves me he placed the value at $300. We saw in the Mastro auction that even a poorly conditioned Mikan Menko sells for more than that.

I'd place the value in the $750-$1500 range depending on the condition.

It is a great item. I've attached an image of the two that I own.

Regards, Pat
