But no one said bench isn't important. All I (and, to my knowledge, anyone else) said was that bench isn't as important as squat and deadlift for the sport of powerlifting. Besides, I have one of the best collegiate bench presses in the 165s in the country, as far as I know; there are, though some, (like Sam) who bench more than me.
