We're hosting the MS State PL & BP Championships in Philadelphia, MS on August 2nd. Full meet and bench only divisions are available. Teams of 6 are welcome. No age categories though, it's all open. Entry is available at www.usaplmississippi.com by clicking on the calendar.

Everyone is doing off-season training at present, but when is your next meet? I really support what you are doing with the open-only division...in fact, we (ULL) are going to host the Louisiana State meet the same way. I even stole the grouping of the women's weight classes from you. Thanks!

Planning on the Brother Bennett to be sometime in February on the coast, tossing around the idea of doing either a small meet or a small push-pull (30-35 lifters) in Pearl (just outside of Jackson)late November to early December, unless there's interest in a bigger meet around that time, then I can always host a meet in Hattiesburg or Philadelphia. Thanks for the support on the open only, just a way to try to increase the competition level a little bit I hope..much the same idea is behind the grouping of the women's weight classes. Thanks
