I saw the interview with Coach K. Looks like, as is usual with the press, that someones remarks were taken totally out of context. He had just been told that Obama picked UNC over Duke to win, and thats when he made the remark, somewhat sarcastically, that Obama should pay attention to the economy instead of basketball picks.

Good grief.

I also watched Obama last night on the Tonight show, and heard the Special Olympics remark. Bonehead remark, to be sure. If Michelle was there she probably would have reached out and smacked him in the head. Obama has to learn to check his mouth and stop it from running a minute ahead of his brain, he tends to get too relaxed sometimes and next thing you know, we got a problem. He will learn.

Why would it be....the next sports guy will play the entire comment(s)! He said it the way it's been reported...and meant it the way he said it!...just like so many other people have been saying it the same way!

You might need to "stop" watching TV if you didn't see and hear what he said....even if you want to believe it was all in good fun you have to understand exactly the context that it was being used in and exactly what was said about the issue...which is the economy!...and it was said exactly the way he said it....as for a good laugh,...I've watched it on the Durham TV station where Duke is located and on the Raleigh station 20+ miles east of Durham and I didn't see a "good laugh"....maybe ESPN has inserted the good laugh into time context, ever think about that!
