On March 31 Reps. Henry Waxman (D-CA) and Ed Markey (D-MA) fired the starting gun on the most important legislative fight of our lives, introducing draft legislation that could unleash America's green energy future and address global warming.
Hardcore climate action opponents are already digging in. Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX), a vocal leader of the opposition in the House, called the bill "a triumph of fear over good sense and science" and says it "proposes to save the planet by sacrificing the economy."
