Thankee, thankee all. I guess I will need to change my nick to mooncat70 to keep it proper, sandee. But I ain't. Everyone already knows who I am.
I thought I would go with the 39 again, but I'm not sure that will fly any more. I decided in December to let my hair come it natural. Whoa--what a wake-up call that is. Still haven't decided if I should continue the deception or look like I am actually my husband's mate. It is pretty but ----.
We were in Florida working on cleaning out my mother-in-law's house. Made some good progress. Pressure-washed the outside, repainted trim, trimmed bushes, and boxed the house contents after we went through "junk." Next the garage and laundary room. We will leave again in several days--this time by car. We will be taking belongings up to the family cabin and do the second cut of clearing out stuff there at a later date and dividing up possessions (how sad) of inherited crystal, silver, jewelry accumulated from several generations. (But who uses that stuff anymore?) We have already found lots and lots of genealogical treasures. My husband and I really value the old photos, letters and newspaper clippings and we have been surprised at all we found. I don't think his mom or grandmothers threw any thing like that away. Will have to get it scanned and up on the genealogy websites, then cataloged and put into notebooks. Good thing I have a large library room. Now this is what I call a great birthday present.
We worked so hard with my b-i-l and his wife, we never saw any news until we got home last night. Talk about being out of touch. It was quite refreshing to be "in the past" with old letters and newspaper articles.
