Politics Has Taken Religion's Place....

The religion of the left has become politics...maybe it has always been politics but these days it seems their devotion to their partisan politics is cult-like as I have mentioned on more than one occasion! Thinking about that got me to thinking about what Marx wrote about "religion being the opiate of the masses"...Now if we take out "religion" out of Marx's quote and change it to "leftist politics" we'll then see how closely it then relates to today's leftist...

The quote, in context, reads as follows (emphasis added):

Leftist politics is, indeed, the self-consciousness and self-esteem of man who has either not yet won through to himself, or has already lost himself again. But man is no abstract being squatting outside the world. Man is the world of manstate, society. This state and this society produce leftist politics, which is an inverted consciousness of the world, because they are an inverted world. Leftist politics is the general theory of this world, its encyclopedic compendium, its logic in popular form, its spiritual point d'honneur, its enthusiasm, its moral sanction, its solemn complement, and its universal basis of consolation and justification. It is the fantastic realization of the human essence since the human essence has not acquired any true reality. The struggle against leftist politics is, therefore, indirectly the struggle against that world whose spiritual aroma is leftist politics. Leftist political suffering is, at one and the same time, the expression of real suffering and a protest against real suffering. Leftist politics is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people. The abolition of leftist politics as the illusory happiness of the people is the demand for their real happiness. To call on them to give up their illusions about their condition is to call on them to give up a condition that requires illusions. The criticism of leftist politics is, therefore, in embryo, the criticism of that vale of tears of which leftist politics is the halo.[1]

LOL! Sounds like it hits the target dead center! Read it over a couple of times and you'll recognize it as if it were written this morning because leftist politics is the opium of the liberal/leftist just as surely as Marx knew that religion was the opium of the masses! Wake-up people this is really happening!

You were a Dork in High school, Right!?

Your Grandfather and dumb fish?

What planet are you from?  That is an Axiom.  That which seems true but is not truth.  But then, your Grandfather was a specisist and believed that Humans are more intelligent than Animals but who was feeding the fish, your Grandfather whenever he walked away empty handed.

Get a life, High school, Dork.  Like your Grandfather you will go home empty handed and only feed the fish.

I never saw a "question" posed! The facts seem to prove the point no matter who says it...thus the rewording of Marx's quote sounding like it was written about the American and European leftist of today! You refuse to accept it because it's a direct reflection of you and your ilk....I can't say I blame you, but that's why you are you and I'm not!

Well, now.  We know your beliefs, and your biases.  Do you really think that we "leftists" are wanting to advance "marxism"?  You post this shit as if your life depended on it.

You need to get less frantic.  Beyond that, I have no further advice.

Jim..

" Do you really think that we "leftists" are wanting to advance "marxism"? "

It makes no difference what you "want" it's what you're doing and backing that counts! Call it what you want in the end it is what it is....maybe the Marxist are really just trying to advance the American leftist agenda(s)...does that make you feel better! LOL! I suppose that's why on the Socialist web pages their agendas sound just like yours and your ilk's...almost word-for-word!

I am not sure many of them (the leftists) know what the hell they want or where they accidentally take the country....all they care about is how they can get Bush and Cheney....at all costs never realizing what damage they are doing or really caring.

Save the country, live by the constitution and the rule of law. Keep lobbyists from writing the laws. Pay for what you get. Don't hide items off budget. In other words don't act like the Bush Administration and the raving lunatics who were the republican legislators.

Actually, I think the left moves from religion to religion, finding no solace or happiness in any of them.
