We'll be up on the roof tonight for a ringside seat for Macy's fireworks.  They're supposed to be really good this year.

Sounds good Roby. Got 3 invites today. Going to my daughters for a bbq. Steaks wrapped in bacon. she lives less than 3 mi from me.

My grand daughter invited me too.

And a friend from my old neighborhood also invited me to a bbq and fireworks...Truthfully I'd rather just stay home, but I gave in to my daughter, and her hubby can bbq like no body's business.

The Macy's show was fantastic and a beautiful cool breeze made it a pleasure 21 stories up.  I have never been 1/2 mile away from fireworks and had them actually hurt my ears.  Just one question, am I weird for just loving the smell of the smoke from the fireworks, which wafted across the roof last night?

YES!

 

We can see the fireworks from both the San Clemente pier and Dana Point harbor....we are much closer to the harbor, tho, and with the ocean breeze being strong last night, it sounded like they were going off right across the street!  One of our pups was hiding under the bed, the other one had a barking holiday...LOL.
