| I've got nothing against Walter Cronkite even though he was a lefty...I respected him as the man he was and his right to have his opinions and beliefs. That said...I still believe the news should be the news and just the news...without editorial input or political skewing. It's easy to spot the partisanship today in our world of leftist major networks and political agenda(s) from the media instead of straight reporting. To a great degree I believe Cronkite tried to keep it straight down the line....but again, that was a different time and America a different country. What is standard operating procedures today would never be allowed in Cronkite's heyday where news people had integrity and you could believe them and take their news as fact...because when you saw the same story on another network it would basically be the same...unlike today, oh it's the same on all leftist networks but it's the same propaganda and leftist spin! I believe Walter Cronkite as he has said....wanted better for the country and the news. I'm watching all the coverage of his passing and hoping that others will see the difference in his coverage and the shams we all see now passing themselves off as presenters of the news!
Wake-up this is really happening!

I have no problem with that assessment. I find it sad when our news shows are described as "talk" in the television guides. But 4 minute segments are just that.

I agree 100%! I want the "what happened" and the "why" if known...I also want "ALL" the questions ask and I want the answers to those questions! It pisses me off to no end that IF and When IF ever questioning gets to the meat-and-potatoes of an issue that the "news" people allow the person being interviewed to skate right past the question or change the subject entirely ...and the "news" person does not re-ask the question and allows the skating! That's what I liked about Tim Russert doing Meet The Press...he would press the issue and re-ask the question to get to the answer and then we all could determine the TRUTH!
That's what's missing today that I believe Cronkite and those of his era respected much more than their own political opinions and views...the TRUTH of the issue! Damn! I wish that the American people would demand the truth...and it should be something, the last thing matter of fact that we SHOULD have to worry about!
Wake-up people...this is really happening!
