So the President is having a beer with Crowley and Gates today. some people have suggested the woman who made the 911 call that brought all this to light should join them. What say you?

Then again Obama is trying to smooth things over.

She might be asking questions about what Crowley put in the police report about what he claims she said at the scene about observing two black men with backpacks on Gates' porch. She claims she just told him she made the 911 call.

Now that the tapes are out we know that it was not the woman but rather Crowley who mentioned "two black men"  The woman should be left to her anyonymity.

She was very nervous and very upset and understandably so. She says she has gotten threats. why I don't know, but we all know this F.....ed up world is full of kooks. I just wondered if anyone thought she should bee at the "ale to the Chief". I love that title. haha It was discussed this morn on The View, whther she should or shouldn't. both Joy and Elisabeth thought she should. I don't care either way myself.

The fact that they were two black men is an identifier only.  It implies nothing racial.  If they had been Caucasian or HIspanic or Female, those identifiers would have been used.

I don't know how much we can influence the liberal mind-meld on this. They are in their "blame the cop" mode in order to shift media focus away from the president and one of their race-rouser icons.

The woman who called the cops should stay away. And the next time someo9ne b5reaks into Gates' house, she should not call the cops.

That way these racists will lern that the cops are the only people between the civilized world and the criminal element.

We are not divided into races as much as we are divided between the civilized and uncivilized worlds.

Give me a break. They are cops, they're not POPES. I come from a family of cops. They screw up too. Humans do that. What this whole thing was 2 hot heads locking horns. Both were equally wrong. It looks like Obama inviting the two of them to the WH for beers calmed the situation down. I realize this will upset the bowels of the likes Of Limpballs, and OLielly, and Hannity but hey get over it. Now since we're not paid to stir the pot do you think this board could just drop it.......

You're as bad as Obama, Maw, and you have learned nothing from his screw up.  There were not two hotheads involved.  If you really want this to go away, quit throwing out statements that need to be challenged.

HA....why do you suddenly want this to go away?  You insisted we talk about the 'FOX legal analyst" who commented on it.

Still the question exists -

Why did Crowley report that the 911 caller told him at the scene she had seen two black males with backpacks on Gates' porch when she denies saying that to him?

I think the whole thing has been talked to death, but hey if it gets you excited then keep it up.

And answer ajc's question while you're at it.

No. That wasn't it. Not according to any credible report of the incident, anyway.

There was one hot head. There is one party responsible for the incident.

Would someone please answer AJC's question.

From the beginning I said Crowley was not racial profiling ,  but having seen the transcript of the tape now,  I am really wondering why he said he got a call about two black men when that is not what the call says.

Would someone please answer AJC's question.

I already did ... but in another thread.  They were identified as two black men, because that's what they were.  It was provided as a description.  Had it been two female Caucasians, they would have been identified as such.

"...Would someone please answer AJC's question...?"

Obviously, no one on this board can explain it because that specific inconsistency in this exercise of inconsistencies hasn't be answered yet by Crowley.

Not to my knowledge, anyway.

But how would the root cause or resolution of this issue be affected one way or another by AJC's question? Zip. Nada. It's just another tar baby in the path of people seeking truth.

Which is why folks are ignoring the question.

INCORRECT, carolyn....

July 31 2009, 9:41 PM

...so I suggest you REREAD the police report, and then RELISTEN to the 911 call.

"They were identified as two black men, because that's what they were."

Nope, the 911 caller said NOTHING about there being "two black men with backpacks" on the porch...and THAT is what Crowley reported her as saying.

He reported her as saying it, or he reported it because that is what he saw?  And even if he thought she had said it, it's no big deal.  After seeing two black men with backpacks, that's what was on his mind.  It would have been the same, had it been two female Caucasians with backpacks.

It proves he LIED on the police report.

Yes, Carolyn.

I think it was an error based on the events of the afternoon. I don't see how this would compromise his actions or anything else. What would the benefit be to Crowley?

None.

The benefit to the moonbattery is a very tiny crack in the massive cliff of Gates' and Obama's errors.

I would have raised Obama by 10 points if he had just said "Hey, I made a mistake. Let's let the local authorites sort this out. I entered this fray due to my close relationship with Dr. Gates and, in retrospect, that was not appropriate."

Hey, lady. I'm trying to rehabiltate you among reasonable posters. It won't work if you persist with this odd "neocon" epithet.

There's not a single neocon on this board.

Go refresh your memory of what a neocon is, and then come back and be nice.

Maybe it isn't important.

But it is a glaring discrepency in his report and if he was inaccurate on this detail what other errors might exist.

By the time he wrote the report he had to know it was going to something other than routine.

No, you're right. There's an inaccuracy in his report and it should be explained. I think he made a simple mistake but that inconsistency should be nvestigated and explained.
