I'm not at all averse to using the parts of the Pickens plan that make sense (and much of it does) but it doesn't make Pickens any less of an ass and I see no reason why a US Senator should be afraid to say so.

Franken had massive grassroots/netroots funding. I sure that proportionately his corporate fundraising was way lower than average.

I suppose then that organizations such as ACORN and it's splinters are equally important to the Democrats...which is obvious by the fact that IF ACORN was a Republican org. it would have long since been investigated...congressional hearings held, people indicted, tried, and would be in prison today! LOL! But under the Democrats...they get funding!

I underestimated Franken and the voters of Minnesota. Looks like Franken isn't afraid to call 'em as he sees 'em, speak his mind. Even if I disagree with him I see nothing wrong in his not being an ass kisser. Of course he wont get re-elected... gotta be an ass kisser to get re-elected that's just the way politics is.
