Gus' kind of people ...

A Glenn Beck fan and teabagger ...

A Long Island mother of three -- armed to the teeth with an assault rifle and shotgun -- was arrested for scouting out and taking pictures of an Air National Guard base in the Hamptons, authorities said.

Suffolk County Undersheriff Joseph Caracappa said Nancy Genovese, 53, of Quogue, was arrested for trespassing outside the Gabreskie Airport ANG facility Thursday night, and Homeland Security and the FBI are also investigating.

Caracappa said Genovese was taking photographs of the perimeter of the base. A search of her car uncovered an arsenal -- an XM-15 assault rifle, a shotgun and 500 rounds of ammunition.

When asked what she was doing, she replied, "Nothing."

"They are registered weapons, but they're scary weapons," said Caracappa. "It's very odd."

He said she had been at the base a few weeks earlier, taking photos and asking questions of the guards.

Genovese, an unemployed single mom with no prior arrest record, was charged with trespassing.

She was arraigned yesterday afternoon at Southampton Town Justice Court, where a judge set bail at $50,000, and then ordered Genovese held for a psychiatric examination after she went berserk in the courtroom.

"She was hysterical -- screaming and flailing around," said Caracappa.

IMO, most people who feel they need guns are mentally challenged.  Psychiatric exams should be required to get a permit.

Well I don't agree with that. I've been a gun owner since age 14.

Bust her for tresspassing.  It would appear that that's the only law she *is accused* of having broken.  So since when has a pissant misdemeanor tresspassing *arraignment* been grounds for a 50K bond, and a court-ordered shrink exam???  Gheezuz!  I likely would have gone beserk myself under the same circumstances.  Where the hell was *her* lawyer?

But my favorite part is this:

"They are registered weapons, but they're scary weapons," said Caracappa. "It's very odd."

Oooooo  nasty!!  Common stupidity, however.  Fedral law was actually written and passed on the same criteria. *chortle*

LOL! Like I said ... Gus' kind of people.

Did you look at her MySpace page Gus? Search for "FEMA".

This nutcase was there on her armed reconnaissance because she was convinced there was an exercise going on there where FEMA was training foreign troops for the purpose of rounding up true American patriots ...

Being a nutcase isn't illegal, per se.  Otherwise, the jails would already be full of an eight-year collection of PNAC-types, Blackwater-phobes, and countless other assorted moonbats.  I mean really, I looked it up, and the "Turner Diaries" was written in 1978.  And like the loons of the Left, something is always "imminent" with these people.  The common denominator obviously *isn't* ideology...

Not all gun owners, hence a psychiatric evaluation to weed out the psychopaths.  Others don't have to worry.

Gus' kind of people ...

No, more likely someone who is mentally ill and needs help.  But let's not bother with that...let's just get her some counseling on how to die gracefully and with nominal costs....she sounds like she is going to be a drain on the system.

/off sarcasm.

Otherwise there would be fewer posters on this board.

Mostly on the left.
