Town Hall protester. Perfect.

Now this guy is a piece of work. Im so glad there is video showing exactly what happened, since at some point he claims to have been swarmed by police and even the Senator. Also note that he collects disability, and I do believe that is run by the government.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/32386333#32386333

Real people want facts, ask intelligent questions, and they have to put up with half-wits like this guy.

Something else to note...he is allowed to speak. The host does not interrupt him every 3-5 seconds or smirk at him.

I will be so glad when this health care issue is passed and we can get on with other issues. These town hall meetings are just a farce. The one's that do the speaking are just yelling and causing chaos. If they can't speak in an orderly fashion toss em out and go to the next person.

I think you are going to be waiting a while.  The people want to know what is going on, and Obama has found out you can't lie your way through it.  Why are the democrats suddenly little mute puppets???  What happened to all the "ask questions" group that were so morally superior just a few years ago?  Where are YOU?

I think it is because they are the hypocrites I have accused them of being all along.

There is a difference between protesting and disrupting.  It is not people who want answers who are doing the disrupting.

It is not people who want truth who are  passing around emails with complete lies or making  speeches about "death panels"

Well, if all they wanted to do was "ask questions" why did they just overtake the meeting?  Couldn't they have just asked the question?  I thought Republicans were more restrained than that.

oh please.  You shout down people who want to take questions, you idolize the rightwing assholes who ran the country for 8 years, and now you try to claim the moral high ground?

Many of us were called traitors for even voicing dissent on this forum over the last 8 years. [getting in nobody's face to do so]

If we would have tried to "shout down a GWB TH meeting" you probably would have felt justified in shooting us in the back for being anti-American.

At least be consistent.

I'm going to bottle this and put it in my wine cellar with a label: Vintage Avaloon of Alaska 2009

I'll bring the bottle out when my sister and her crazy liberal husband come to visit.

You'd love them, Jim. He and I spar quietly at the edge of hearing with subtle references to political differences. He and I learned at both weddings-- his and mine-- that we are brotherly opposites.

The question is:  Are we crazy because we're liberal, or are we liberal because we're crazy?

We already know how you feel about us (and that is the correct word "feel"), we just don't know which came first, the chicken or the egg.

otoh....  we may also be "brotherly opposites" ...it's just that we can intrude beyond the "edge of hearing" in this venue.

One of the most frustrating problems in the world is to ask a pointed question and not get an answer. Well, a little thinking will show the most ignorant person will become frustrated to the point of yelling when that question is not answered.

Now pay close attention. tghoswe arrogant representatives who are supposed to be listening to us do not answer our questions. Reminds me of the questions I ask on this board and see liberals avoid the issues.

Hey, if you don't know the answer, whyu pretend that you do? But the arrogant liberals had rather attack the questioner than answer his questions. That's because the liberals either do not know the answers and pretend that they do or they don't want you to know what is going on.

Everyone has a right to know exactly what every bill ios going to do to and in their lives. Don't give a damn if you do theing=k they are assholes. Time to take the country back.

ONLY "the most ignorant"....that's for sure.  Intelligent people WAIT THEIR TURN to ask questions, and then if the question is not answered to their satisfaction, they ask a follow-up question to get a more clear answer.

I've tried that on this board and u=you never answer my questions. You are always rude just like those arrogant congressmen. BTW that is typical of most liberals. I have discovered they refuse to accept my reserch and they refuse to do any research of their own.

Indeed, people should be angry with their congressmen and at the liberals as well.

I will be so glad when this health care issue is passed and we can get on with other issues.

IMO, those other issues you speak of should have been addressed before bringing healthcare to the masses.  Why has only a small portion of the stimulus been spent?  Wasn't it critical to get that passed, dole out the money, create/save jobs?

These town hall meetings are just a farce.

I don't think you'd be saying that if more there were pro-healthcare attendees than those opposing healthcare attendees.  I mean, it would be all rah-rah, and you, in particular, would be enjoying that since you don't question anything Obama does.

The one's that do the speaking are just yelling and causing chaos.

How do you know that's even true?  You don't.  The vids and news are largely only reporting the anti-healthcare speakers.  And, it's being used by the democrats as fodder for calling people anti-American, Nazis, Astroturfers, etc. when, in fact, they have just as much right to speak their mind as any other American who shows up.  Why don't the democrats put up vids of more civil exchanges?  Because it would not serve their purpose.

If they can't speak in an orderly fashion toss em out and go to the next person.

Yeah, sure.  You'd like that, wouldn't you?  Like Obama, you want everyone else to just get out of the way and shut up, community organizer style.  As I said, above, you wouldn't be saying toss 'em out if the pro-healthcare people outnumbered those against healthcare, and were seen screaming over others and jumping up to speak, getting in someone's face.

Re: Town Hall protester. Perfect.

and I do believe that is run by the government

-------

While this man could be drawing SS disability, not all disability programs are provided , nor paid for by government.

It's really too bad that this video doesn't show the entirity of the situation.  The people started lining up at 6:30am for a meeting that began at 9:30am.  And, only 30 forms were distributed allowing 30 Q&As to be conducted.  I have no problem with that, but I would like to see the entire townhall video instead of just this piece of it.  Specter said other than this one incident, the meeting went quite well.  So, like I asked Maw, why do you think this one video is being viraled and used by the Dems, when Specter said the other 85 minutes of it were productive?  Think about that....

"Now this guy is a piece of work."

Give me a break. This "guy" is disabled with lung problems, Sable. I watched this video many times and I don't see the same thing you saw. I saw someone standing up and putting their hands on this man. Then I saw a policeman step up, and Specther standing in front of him. Then it looked like a security guy standing by the policeman and Specther's secrect Service protectors. Gee, I wonder why he felt like he was surrounded, hellooooo.

This gentleman had called Specther's office and asked to speak for 5 mins. and was told he could. Then when he got there they handed out slips of paper so you could ask questions. You'd be a little upset too I'm sure.

If you really think these people are plants you are going to be mighty surprised come next election time. It will make the last election look like a picnic. I wouldn't be surprised to see every democrat voted out because voters are sick of the lying going on in this administration. You would think the dems should have learned from the last admin. that you can't lie to the American people and get away with it. Wasn't that one of the reasons the voters kicked out the 'pubs? There is something about power that makes these politicians go crazy.

I most definitely disapprove of what Jackson-Lee did.  That isn't the norm, though (and even you know that FACT).   MOST of the rude interrupters are neoCON assholes who have been TOLD to disrupt the town hall meetings.
