This will be the best security for maintaining our liberties. A nation of well-informed men who have been taught to know and prize the rights which God has given them cannot be enslaved. It is in the religion of ignorance that tyranny begins.

Hey, it's no problem to prove that you are both confused. You are the contradictions and that is obvious.

You are a contradiction. Why else would you be making these posts?

Well, if you can't understand what I am trying to tell you, I'll drop[ the subject. But I thought you might have a little respect for the feelings of others. Obviously you don't. If you don't understand, i wqill not make it public. But your character is all over this board. And it isn't a very good character.

It doesn't mean anything. But your dishonesty is displayed all over ths board for everyone to see. And I mean you have simply lied and it is obvious, And no it is not something about politics. It is something that goes to your core that binds you to friends and people who depend on you.

It has absolutely nothing to do with me. But you have lied to one of your so-called friends. You have been a disappointment and it is obvious to all who are capabl;e of observing.

Truth, Jim, is something that you cannot deal with.

Edited to add: There is no one more evil than one who lies to a friend.

LOL! LOL! and LOL!

Jim Avalon's 'favorite quote' from Ben Franklin is actually a quote from Harry Hirschfield.

Jeez, Jim.

You claim intellectual honesty but, instead, you grab a cheap quote off the internet and call it your favorite?

Didn't the language of the quote give you a clue? Wake up at nine? Ben Franklin of 'early to bed and early to rise?' In Colonial times you don't sleep in to 9:00 am. Grab the morning paper? Did they have morning and evening papers in Colonial times? And if Ben Franklin published the paper, why would he have to 'grab' the morning paper?

Jim.... Pfffft. Big error.

I wake up every morning at nine and grab for the morning paper. Then I look at the obituary page. If my name is not on it, I get up. ~ Harry Hershfield ...

Re: B. Franklin Quote

No, Janie, you are the mental midget because you assume that Ben Franklin would laugh at my ignorance. You offered no example of my ignorance and I begin the thread quoting Franklin. Obviously he would not have laughed at that. And you gave no other proof of my ignorance.

So he would not have laughed if you cannot post something specific that he would laugh at. You can't do it. Therefore, you are the mental midget.

LOL!

Well, Janie Liar, since you PROJECTED Franklin's laughter based on your own p.o.v., you are fair game to be called a mental midget.

Clearly, since you made up your little reality, you are the subject of the sentence: the menatl midget.

Gads. You guys constantly get slapped by this person that you call stupid. It's funny. You lick it up and come back for more.
