Repugnant Cynical opportunism.

The hallmark of the Democrat party for decades.  Cold-blooded cynical opportunism.  Of course they're going to try it, it's in their DNA.  But here's a clue. *Nothing* has changed, other than the fact that Ted Kennedy has died.  His death does NOT entitle you to *pose* as entitled to some arrogant, high-ground moral mandate to expect the opposition to just shut up, and go home.  Or to respond much more eloquently, blow it out you asses...

The entire display is repulsive, but I'm not surprised you don't see it that way.  Don't get your hopes up too high, the equally repulsive Howard Dean was hooted off the stage at at Jim Moran's town hall last night.  We The People may have actually turned a page after all these years.  Not near so gullible any more it would seem.

Even a summary perusal of federal law enacted over the last 40 years, and who sponsored it, will tell you who has hogged the book, for the most part.  There's a good reason for that too.

My day was to reflect and respect a man despite his wealth gave his all to his country which he loved.

No one can ask more than that.

It would have been nice if his fellow Democrats had taken just one day to do the same.

I am assuming that you are refering to the threads honoring the recently deceased. Usually when that happens those who respond pay their respects. That does not mean you have to shut up, or not say disparaging remarks. Just pay your respects, or do not respond. You can talk policy on another thread. After all we have been talking about Government involvement in Health Care for the last several weeks. So you can disparage Government involvement in health care all you want in those threads. Just do not show disrespect in threads ment to show respect for the recently deceased.

Well you know how they are. Liberals think and Neo-conservatives feel, particularly hate.

And to Gus, just who told you to go home, provide some evidence of this.

No, I am referring to the bandwagon that the Democrats built out of his corpse on the same day as his death to brazenly and cynically attempt to use his death to attain the upper hand in their fight to pass their Obamacare.  That's what *this* thread is about, and it is why I created a seperate thread, *apart* from those who wished to pay their respects in a thread dedicated to that.

Fact number one is that Ted Kennedy has always been a big proponent of Health Care reform.

Fact number two is that Ted Kennedy has just died today.

Fact number three is that we have had a number of threads discussing Obama care just in this past week. Just because Ted Kennedy is pro-government sponsored health care means we are talking about his efforts and does not necesarily mean we are talking about Obama care.

Remember I am not one of those pushing Obama care. As a libertarian I do not trust governments involvement. However I at least can tell the difference between promoting Obama care, and talking about the accomplishments of Ted Kennedy. Can you?

Indeed I can, because I am not some black-hearted Democrat, in danger of being utterly humiliated over Obamacare, and therefore willing to go to any lengths to save my butt.  Have you read the piece I linked to?  *Those* people can't tell the difference!

Gus,

They don't get your point.

They really don't. In order to grasp the premise of your question, they have to admit a whole hell of a lotta shit.
