  Not necessarily, more like popularity=influence, as in call your congressman and remind him that you vote, by the thousands.  OTOH, your not-so-velied attempt to dismiss it all with yet another variation on the "Idiocracy" is to be expected.

Numbers? Isn't that the book in the Bible with all those boring begats. On the few occasions where I tried to read the Bible cover to cover, I never could get past that particular book.
