According to the Bible, Adam was the very first MAN, therefore all humans, including Christ, come through his bloodline. If you believe the Bible you must believe that premise. The one thing I would question is that if Man was created so that Christ could be born wouldn't that mean that God, as the omniscient being that he is supposed to be according to the Bible, knew that Man was a flawed from the very beginning. So he intentionally created a flawed creature called Man just so that he could later sacrifice Christ as a saviour for those flawed creatures of his making. So you proved they were good men. That does not prove that they were Christians. Because to be Christian, you would have to be a follower of Christ. And in order to be a follower of Christ, you have to be living either during his time on earth, or after his time on earth. Not before his time on earth. These men were just the precursors of Christ.

According to the Bible, Adam was the very first MAN, therefore all humans, including Christ, come through his bloodline.
So how many races are there? Did they all come through Adam and Eve. Well believe it if you wish to but the Bible does not teach that. Man teaches that.
If you believe the Bible you must believe that premise. I understand what Poetse is saying, and I have to disagree with CJ, he did not say that Adam was a Christian, he said that Adam, and therefore mankind was created so that Christ could be born. The one thing I would question is that if Man was created so that Christ could be born wouldn't that mean that God, as the omniscient being that he is supposed to be according to the Bible, knew that Man was a flawed from the very beginning.
As a matter of fact, you are correct. Man is flawed and weak and falls and stumbles and is disobedient. But God gave man a free will so that man could choose to follow God or follow his own carnal desires.
So he intentionally created a flawed creature called Man just so that he could later sacrifice Christ as a saviour for those flawed creatures of his making. That sounds just a little bit narcistic, that he needed to create a flawed creature, Man, so that that same flawed creature, Man, would worship him and need to be saved from his wrath by the sacrifice of Christ.
Close, Ron. You make the choices to be obedient or you choose to disobey. Does that mean you are flawed or that you desire the wrong things? You are filled with lust throughout your life wanting more and more and nothing satisfies you, (Speaking in general her and not to you in particular.) But human nature lusts for welth, power, sex, drugs, etc and is never really satisfied with anything.
Paul said that the Christian had a ministery of reconcilation which is to draw man from his lusts to be reconciled to God. itis that simple.

yet some of the most moral acting people that I know are atheist or agnostic. So it seems that one does not need a God. And no I do not believe in the concept that God is necessary for the bad ones but the good ones doesn't need to believe.

Sins? Well at leas thos who commit sins have someone to die for them while those without sin do not have anyone. And as you say, those moral atheists are fine without a God or sacrifice. But they are mortal.

Do you suppose that man decided in the beginning that he needed to appease the gods; therefore, he sacrificed something. did you notice that man is looking for god in such acts? So some seek and find and some see no need to seek.

I don't need to read them to know that Christianity started with Christ.
But you would need to read the Greek to know that he preached to those who lived on earth before he came to the earth. Therefore, they all heard of Christ and Christianity.

Of course you say that Jesus Christ was preaching to those before he lived because of the scriptures predicting his comming. However the religious leaders who wrote the New Testament made sure that they would fulfill the Old Testament's prophesies. Also since in addition to the old testment they had access to a library of other religions(Library of Alexandria before it was burned down) so they made sure they covered some of the other religions prophesies as well.

It was on the other board. He said something weird that suggested a connection between Adam and being Christian and I asked him if he was trying to say Adam was a Christian and he said "yes" and went on to explain his contrived story about how he thinks that.
