Is this responsible use of firearms?

It's a strange place to hold party meetings, I wonder if they're also consuming alcohol during these meetings.  That might explain the poor decision to mark a target with your opponents name before taking pot shots at it.  I'm sure they all thought it was really funny when he did it, now the jokes on him and he becomes another example of why Americans should not vote for Republicans.

GOP member shoots target with Fla. rep's initials

Oct 9, 10:34 AM (ET)

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. (AP) - A GOP candidate in South Florida says it was a mistake to shoot at a target with a Democratic congresswoman's initials.

It happened during a weekly meeting of the Southeast Broward Republican Club held at a gun range.

Members used assault rifles to shoot at targets including a cut-out of a man in a headdress holding a rocket-propelled grenade launcher.

Robert Lowry, a Republican vying to replace Democratic U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, fired at a full-body silhouette with her initials written next to its head.

Wasserman Schultz, who made headlines earlier this year when she announced she had secretly been battling breast cancer, declined comment.

Lowry first told the Sun-Sentinel it was a joke, then that it was a mistake.

now it is dangerous to shoot at at target in a shooting range with some initials on it????

Is it safer that the target be blank?

My guess is that if it was a Demorat or some lib that was shooting at a target with Bush's picture, not a peep would be heard from anyone...

It has nothing to do with safety in this case, Web, but you know that.

It is irresponsible for a politician to label his target with the name of his opponent.
Even the politician involved recognizes that it was not funny and a poor decision.

What is irresponsible, no saftey issues compromised, perfectly safe behavior....

Not funny, poor decision, sure, in bad taste?

Yes, I would say bad taste....but listen to left wing radio (if you can find any stations that are still on the air), or go to your local left-wing liberal store that sells all the disrespectful bumper stickers, and crap about President Bush, Republicans, Conservatives that truly are NOT Funny, A VERY POOR DECISION to make, and in extremely bad taste!

So, what's the difference of this guys bad taste and the thousands of bad-taste activities of the left?
