Hate to burst your Magic Kingdom bubble, maw, but I'm as happy as a box of puppies.  Obama has made my business perk right up, I passed my annual check-up with flying colors, and hardly anything is going right for you moonbats on the political front.  I don't think we're all going to be toasted in the next few minutes, I have no eco-anxiety, I'm not in therapy because I think an election was rigged, nobody is conspiring to take over the country, and we are not running out of oil.  There is no blood-in-the-streets, I'm not trying to marry anybody that the govt. won't recognize, and I live where I can pretty much just smoke up a storm.  What's not to like, maw?  Life is good!

The following is a list of definitions of illiterate. There is not one definition among them that would identify the people in the pictures as being illiterate. However, your comments show beyond a doubt that you do not know what an illiterate is. Does that make you illiterate?

1: having little or no education; especially : unable to read or write
2 a : showing or marked by a lack of familiarity with language and literature b : violating approved patterns of speaking or writing
3 : showing or marked by a lack of acquaintance with the fundamentals of a particular field of knowledge
synonyms see ignorant

There's nothing else that's new because you continue to show your ignorance. The one thing that will be new is when you recognize that Glenn Beck is a well-read person. You fail to recognize that fact; therefore, you remain in the same old rut.

1: having little or no education; especially : unable to read or write

#1.) the people holding the signs exhibit an inability to write if they indeed wrote the words on their signs. #2.) The people holding the signs exhibit an inability to read if they indeed did not make the signs but only held them.

2 a : showing or marked by a lack of familiarity with language and literature b : violating approved patterns of speaking or writing

#1.) Hmm... now whom does the above remind me of? Think think think... someone who visits this board often.

3 : showing or marked by a lack of acquaintance with the fundamentals of a particular field of knowledge

No they don't exhibit an inability to write, they exhibit an inability to spell. there is a difference between writing formal English and simple writing. they communicate effectively because you understand exactly what they are saying with their signs. It does show that they have been dumbed down in school systems that do social promoting. \,/B>

2 a : showing or marked by a lack of familiarity with language and literature b : violating approved patterns of speaking or writing

#1.) Hmm... now whom does the above remind me of? Think think think... someone who visits this board often.

And you are wrong again. If you do not understand the word "illiterate" you are the one who should be reminded that not knowing the meaning of words is a sign i of a weak vocabulary.
It does not mean that you are illiterate. BTW formal English would dictate that you not end sentences with prepositions.
You should not attempt to prove that spellings errors and typos prove one is illiterate. You have only proved your ignorance. Well, you didn't prove it just now--We've all observed how ignorant you are from your previous posts.

3 : showing or marked by a lack of acquaintance with the fundamentals of a particular field of knowledge

#1.) Na... I'm not going to reply to this one, it's just way too easy.

Of course it's so easy you're going to tell me what an altered super tonic triad is in the key of F minor. Or perhaps you will tell me what poetic devices are used in free verse? Or can you tell me the rhyme scheme of a Shakespearean sonnet? Or can you tell me what a gerund is? Can you tell me what the being verbs are? Can you tell me difference between the arithmetic mean and the geometric mean? Can you tell me the difference between finite verbs and infinite verbs. Can you tell me the difference between transitive and intransitive verbs. Can you tell how the standard deviation is computed?

How easy is it CJ?

Can you tell me how to determine the working capital of a business? Can you assets, liabilities, or capital? Can you tell me the difference between a balance sheet and an income statement.

So if you can't answer these questions, why did you say it is easy.

Is there something wrong with defining terms? Do you really believe those people in the pictures are illiterate? Well, why is it so easy to understnd what they are saying with their signs?

They are not illiterate. The are dumbed downb by a liberal controlled, social promoting scholl system that punishes producers and rewards failutr=res.

I know what illiterate means.  People who can't put four words together to make a simple sign are illiterate in my opinion.

You have no idea if social promotion is the cause of their problem.  You really ride that horse too hard.

I have a suspicion that you were retained in a primary grade and never got over the social stigma.

Well which definition do these people come under. Define them. You understand every sign; therefore they are not illiterate. I know people with Masters and Ph.D. degrees who cannot spell "cat." Does that mean they are illiterate? No, it means that spelling is not emphasized. Do you see that is a dumbing down of the education system? Wow? Let's hear your explanations.

You have no idea if social promotion is the cause of their problem. You really ride that horse too hard.

I have researched the subject. You just make assertions because you know it all. Right?

I have a suspicion that you were retained in a primary grade and never got over the social stigma.

So you are making assertions based on your ignorance. You have no proof. Just an arrogant attitude.

Please point out where I (personally) "perverted" the definition of "illiterate", too.

I am not defending these people. I am pointing out the difference between being illiterate and being dumbed down. There is a difference because some have been socially promoted and know little about reading and writing. That does not make them illiterate. Read the definitions.

LOL.

It doesn't take a genius to read the definitions in a dictionary. But to apply those definitions requires a little more intelligence than you exhibit, CJ.
