Very nice! looks like fun man. I liked the full moon too. We are doing a bit of a "hill countlry" ride this weekend.... in the rain. About 800miles round trip if we dont get rained out..... 600 if we do.
looks like our weekend.... rode 600 mile round trip in pouring rain in both directions.... we got very wet. I had waxed my visor prior to the trip and it shed water pretty well, I prefer it to Rainx.... and like you said, clears better at higher speeds We went to this: http://www.mikeblakely.com/Fandango.htm
Mike is a great person and organizes a really good party. Next year if it looks like rain we'll take a car
Hi Roald - You made me remember wet rides in the 50s - I used exRAF Mk V111
goggles with glass lenses, not too bad in the rain. No visors then,as using a
helmet got one called a "Promenade Percy".
Your remarks about Rainex - it was OK on side and rear car windows, but could
smear when using wipers.
BTW - some prewar cars, (and some small post-war ones), used suction-operated
wipers - OK on low throttle, but slowed or stopped if one used full bore!
My Lotus had them, and I collected it from the previous owner in a howling
rainstorm. No Hood, so inside and outside of the screen were just about opaque! - and in those days I wore glasses!
A friend had taken me to pick the car up, and he was sitting in his car, snug
and dry, while I was a drowned rat.- Bill.
