to answer your question of why you have to get a new product fixed, it's just the way it is. with the cost of shipping, it is actually less expensive to pay a few dollars more and get a product that works right the first time. i try to look at it like if crosman charged a little more, and put out a tested product. i am very happy with what i have gotten from mac1. john
