To all that have been keeping up with the Disco pump rebuilds that have been going on here, I have a success story. After reading some of the posts here I decided to email Gary for one of his o-ring kits for the Disco pump. I had an unfortunate mishap while I was pumping up one of my guns where the gauge gave up its ghost. So I decided to go ahead and disassemble the pump and put the new o-rings in. I used an old 0-5000 psi gauge I had off of my 850 for the pump. Although I am sure that any high pressure back mount gauge with an 1/8" npt nipple would work. Any who I assembled the pump using what forum members here recomended plumbers silicon grease. Pump worked fine but I was thinking that it needed something a little more viscious. So I ended up ordering some of Mac1's secret sauce. I disassembled the pump again and used some of that on all the rings and metal sliding surfaces. Wow what a difference. Very easy to refill my HPA'd 850 from 2k psi to 3kpsi with a 22ci tank. Pump works slick and I appreciate all of those people who have posted on the whole Disco pump rebuild process. I have used a Hill pump on an aa s410 and it was like umm having to jump in the air and then land with my full body weight on the handle to get the pump to bottom out. With the Disco pump now.....it is a lot less effort and very quick fills.
