I live in a country setting. I have a back yard that I "could" shoot a .22 firearm rifle. BUT, there is someone else property behind mine ( No houses, just vacant land ). Also, my wife sleeps during the day ( she works midnights ), so I want to keep it as quiet as I can.
I was contemplating buying a Disco. I can't pump it, so I would be at the mercy of not shooting in the winter ( CO2 ) or buying a scuba tank w/adapter. The cost is starting to really add up.
I have several .22 rifles. I can buy some bullets that are fairly quiet ( CCI CB long ). They shoot a 29 grain lead at 710 fps. Cost is about $36 per 500 ( if I buy 1000 ). At this price, I should be able to shoot 7,000 rounds before I hit the break even point on buying a Disco/scuba tank.
If you could shoot a firearm in your backyard ( with this bullet ), would you still spend the money on a Disco? If yes, why?
PS: Please dont mention Super Colibrilla's ( spelling?) They aren't powerful enough for anything much past 30 ft imho.
