The size is 5.51 for the Baracuda Match tins (.22). I thought about that after my last posting. I may need to order the 5.52 head size.
It is strange... the .177 seems to be doing okay again. At 25 yards, bench-rested, I only touch the trigger not the rifle, I can hit a 1/4" circle about 6-8 times. Then it will be to the left or right just a bit for a few pellets. I tried JSB Heavies, JSB Exacts... horrible groups. I have some Crosman UltraMags arriving today. I shall see what the do.
For the .22... or the .177 for that matter, I have not do anything regarding the O-ring. No grease, nothing. I do not know how to get it out either. I have some FP-10... perhaps put a drop on?
I cleaned the barrels with a crown saver and patches.
I did some quick groups again the other day and found that the .22 seems to like JSB Exact Jumbos (16 grains). I will need to do some more testing though. That would be nice.
Now it does not appear that the .22 and .177 are doing the exact same thing. I believe that was an erroneous usage of the term on my part. They are similar in the fact of not grouping as they were before; however, it now appears as two separate issues. Thus, I should look at and test each accordingly.
More to come. Perhaps I need to change out the O-ring. Before I do that, I am going to test out the new pellets and post the results. I will then call Crosman again and see what they want to do.
