Response to quarter-bore disco?

I hade two .25 Disco's a couple years ago. What I found was the max velocity for the Beeman Kodiak's was 670-680fps and neither gun liked them. Next was the Beeman Crow-Mag's at 715-725fps, they grouped good out to about 25 yards, pigeons were DRT. Last I tried Beeman FTS at 785-810, those shot the best. I didn't like the lighter pellet for groundhogs but, they were pretty good for anything else (smaller). I would get 16-18 shots per fill, 2000-1100psi. Both guns used LW barrels and were built by Mountain Air. My conclution was the air flow to the barrel was not enough for the .25 pellets and the 2k 126cc tank was too small if the air flow had been improved much, 8 shots maybe. As a hunting arm I guess that would be okay, a hike across a desert or fields - not so much. The Katana looks to be as good as it gets for the Disco design, "35 hard shots per fill", custom builds not included. I'm pleased enough with my 177 and 22 M-Rods that over the winter, I will get the "Big One".
