Just informational....may be more than one HiPac user out there.

These are my two PCP garden guns. Consider it the carrot-n-stick approach to lawn and garden care. Without shooting a few things, it would be the stick-n-stick approach (I'm like a mule, you gotta give me a carrot now and again, not just beat me with a stick).

Problem came in slowing these two down far enough; they want to run fast but I wanted to hobble them down to more sedate speeds. Besides reducing fill pressure and striker tension, had to go back to stock Crosman valves (piercing pin and everything) and strangle off the transfer port a bit on each.

To get the 2400/2300s down lower, had to add back in the 2300s valve spacer. This part does take up a bit of volume, but more importantly it makes for a small area between the valve and spacer for gas to flow.... it's a pretty efficient way to cut power on what is a stock valve (and it can be un-done when you feel the need for speed).

Sticking to my personal 3% rule, get 23 shots inside that 21fps allowed variation. Yeah, they are only 14 foot pound shots, but the little critter only has 78cc's of volume. (Yes, you can jack it up to shoot 20 foot pounds for a very few shots, or strangle it down to 8 foot pounds for nearly double the shots).

Only 15 shots in the 3% range (in this case, 16 feet per second), but a 30cc volume so there just isn't a whole lot of air to draw from. Efficiency isn't all that great, but it only takes 12 pump strokes to refill to 130BAR. It's a parts gun. Valve and barrel from a 2300s (so its an LW 10 inch barrel), old CB breech (that started life on the 2260), rest of the parts from here and there.

Doesn't count if they won't shoot.

I do have to say, even from sandbags, shooting a 4.2 pound carbine (as shown, scope and all) is a challenge. Its nice to know the gun can do it, but standing next to a wheelbarrow full of dirt and trying to hold that little SOB steady off hand is a real challenge.
