Response to What's up with Mrod barrell band?
Getting the band tight to the air tube (so it can't rotate and stays fixed in place) and having the upper part of the band not binding the barrel (or having the barrel rub hard on one side or the other) seems the best bet. Band acts as a bumper-guard rather than a tie-down.
Doesn't really seem to improve the size of the groups, but does keep them forming in the same place day after day.
