I have a Mike T 6 1/2" and I ground my fill cap at a slight angle and it worked fine and looks good to, or at least it does to me. Shoot, I'd say that it looks factory. If you do grind your's take the "O" ring out and try not to go to deep on the open end. You don't want to go so deep that you get down to the "O" ring grove.
