i have an extra heavy hammer spring in my disco and it gets about 20 shots between 2100-1100 psi. i got rid of the chrono, but it's comparable to my walther talon mag and it shoots about 920 fps w/ the same pellets. it's louder than hell, though !!
Hang On Guys. I forgot to mention that I was doing the chronographing outside yesterday. That was the problem. I just started chronying indoors today with some good, proper lighting and my numbers so far are very consistant. Way better than yesterdays.
I'll post the TRUE numbers later so stay tuned!
The measurement on the numbers is a little more consistant and reliable this time around. I've adjusted the power adjuster to where I get the highest average velocity for the first 10 shots and where my extreme spread is still acceptable. I am a hunter through and through, and when in the field hunting, I rarely ever take more than 5-6 shots. So the numbers I'm getting are excellent, in my opinion, for what I need. (mind you the POI does not change enough to worry about even when taking 20 shots. All shots are still within 1/2" with the slight change in POI)
So in my opinion I think I have my Discovery set pretty good for my hunting purposes. The first six shots are averaging 903 fps / 26 fpe and I rarely take more than six shots when hunting so this is excellent. Like I said the POI still doesn't change (at 20 yards) when shooting from 2000psi down to 1000psi, even with the power adjuster, so that is fine.
What do you guys think?
Looks very fast for a Disco - right at factory spec

Mine is by my design shooting a bit slow. With the power adjuster all in it delivers 23fpe using JSB 15.9gr pellets.
It usually gets shot a 21fpe though. It is more accurate (and not so loud) at this speed and hitting the target is more important that hitting it hard. But... at 20-yards... it would be good enough for hunting at full power.
Sounds like you have yours tuned just right for your needs. Nice job.
Your power-adjusted chrony numbers seem to rise from the outset. This suggests you may benefit from starting at a slightly higher pressure fill. I start my .22 Discovery at 150 bars (about 2200 PSI) and I get about 23 to 25 hard and consistent shots. Here's my performance. Try starting your Discovery at about 2200 PSI and let us know what chrony numbers you get. Given the curve you obtain, you may find another five or so shots in that string.
